Our best effort has been made to accomplish an actual dream, putting on scenery the best excursions in the Chilean Patagonia. You will be able to visit several areas of interest, having the possibility to recreate the history of some nearby places of Punta Arenas.
Fuerte Bulnes, for instance, is a location where the first Chilean settlers, commanded by the captain John Williams, took possession of the lands of Patagonia on behalf of our country in 1843. You will also have the opportunity to observe the outstanding architecture during a City Tour round our marvelous Punta Arenas.
If you are looking for outdoor activities, it is a good idea to visit the penguin colonies at Otway Sound and Magdalena Island or to spend a half - day trekking through the forest in Reserva Forestal Magallanes and Club Andino, which are just 6 miles from the city. In these two places, you can enjoy nature and contemplate the astonishing landscape, having a general view of Punta Arenas, Brunswick Peninsule, Magellan Strait and Tierra del Fuego Island.
We can not leave aside our impressive National Parks as; Pali Aike, a place of archeological interest that you have to visit.
